The Hong Kong Chamber of Shipping (HKCoS) is pleased to announce that its Chairman, Mr. Hing Chao, has been named to Lloyd’s List One Hundred People 2025—a globally recognized listing of the most influential figures in shipping.

HKCoS extends its sincere congratulations to Mr. Chao on this distinguished international recognition. This accolade not only celebrates his personal leadership and impact on the industry but also affirms the forward-looking vision he has long promoted: steering shipping toward a more green, intelligent, and sustainable future.

Under Mr. Chao’s guidance, HKCoS has remained dedicated to its mission of “uniting industry forces to build a sustainable shipping ecosystem”. By connecting key players across ship operations, energy supply, finance, law, port development, and technology innovation, HKCoS has established an effective collaborative platform. Together with partners, the Chamber is advancing actionable decarbonization pathways and clean energy solutions.

Notably, HKCoS has fully leveraged Hong Kong’s role as a “super-connector” to build bridges between Chinese and international shipping communities. Through facilitating major maritime forums in China and organizing high-level dialogues, HKCoS has promoted deeper cooperation and exchange between local and global industry stakeholders.

HKCoS is proud of Mr. Chao’s achievement and remains committed to working with partners worldwide to drive the green transition of shipping, strengthen Hong Kong’s status as an international maritime hub, and contribute to building China into a strong maritime nation.
